The CPISP begins assessment of 689 applicants

The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) has started the assessment process for 689 scholarship applicants from across public and private schools, as well as Bahraini students studying abroad.

The CPISP, in cooperation with Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), started conducting qualifying tests at the BIBF headquarters to assess candidates’ English language and critical reasoning skills.

Commenting on the process, the CPISP Director of Finance and Administration Affairs, Mrs. Shatha Ahmed Ali, noted that the assessment included a computer-based test of English Proficiency, in addition to three critical reasoning tests to assess verbal, numerical, and diagrammatical reasoning. For applicants studying abroad, the Program arranged for applicants to take the tests under supervised conditions at appropriate locations.

Following the assessment process, the Program will select a minimum of 60 candidates based on the results of the qualifying tests and their Grade Point Average.  The candidates, who will be announced before the end of June of this year, will then undergo various training and preparation courses for standardised testing throughout the summer and the next academic year until the final recipients are selected in April 2025.

Mrs. Shatha Ahmed Ali confirmed that the CPISP received a total of 689 applications during the submission period of 1 – 16 March 2024. The Program’s application criteria, includes Bahraini citizenship, a GPA of 97% or higher, and enrollment in the 11th grade (or equivalent) with a graduation date in 2025.
