Rawan Maki, CPISP Scholar Group 9, PHD Student Resource flow analysis and sustainability implicate at London College of Fashion - UK launched her Fall/Winter 2017 fashion collection with a debut on the catwalk in New York on April 1, 2017. The show was attended by a mix of exclusive fashion buyers, influencers, and fashion designers.
The London-based brand combines engineering and fashion principles, making it a pioneer in sustainable fashion in the Arab world. Rawan Maki’s debut collection, “The Waves of the Future includes an eclectic mix of overcoats, dresses, and a pant-suit – all created using sustainable fashion principles.
“Participating in the New York fashion show was a thrilling experience – but we are just getting started”, says Rawan Maki who envisions fashion as revolutionary in its aesthetic and production methods.
Rawan Maki combined her environmental engineering experience at Imperial College London with a fashion education at the London College of Fashion, to come up with an approach that prioritizes sustainable fabrics and production.
