Recipients of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program announced: 16 June 2021

The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP), today announced the recipients of the 22nd edition of the CPISP.

The Advisor for Political and Economic Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince, Board Member and Head of the Financial and Administrative Committee of the CPISP, HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, congratulated this year’s recipients, who have been selected following a rigorous assessment.

HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa commended HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his continued commitment in supporting the Kingdom’s youth, noting the determination of this year’s recipients during the various stages of the program, despite the challenges presented by the global spread of COVID-19.

HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa expressed his gratitude to all the organizations that continue to support the work and objectives of the CPISP and extended his congratulations to the students for meeting the program's demanding standards.

HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa praised the efforts made by the program’s administration in undertaking all that is related to the program’s progress in accordance its goals, and for ensuring continued cooperation and coordination with prestigious international universities and following up on student affairs.

The recipients of 2021 CPISP scholarships are as follows:

  • Layal Zuhair Ismail Kazerooni – St. Christopher’s School
  • Layan Rayan Kazerooni – St. Christopher’s School
  • Talal Husain Abdulla AlKhawaja – St. Christopher’s School
  • Zeyad Khaled Ahmed Al Sakhi – Bahrain Bayan School
  • Hanan Hassan Ali Al Saffar – Jidhafs Secondary Girls School
  • Khatoon Sabah Hameed Al Sabah – Jidhafs Secondary Girls School
  • Noor Jaafar Mohammed Taresh – Saar Secondary Girls School
  • Mohamed Murad Mohamed Fadhul – Naim Secondary Boys School
  • Saleh Dhaif Husain Abdulla – Hamad Town Secondary Boys School
  • Sayed Jawad Ali Jaafar Al Gharbi – Naim Secondary Boys School

Recipients were selected from among 385 Bahraini applicants following a comprehensive process that took into account their Grade Point Average, IELTS score, SAT score, leadership training, and a critical thinking course, which was organized online by the CPISP as part of the virtual candidacy training program.

The CPISP offers scholarship recipients the opportunity to choose their own fields of study at any university they gain acceptance to. The program has awarded a total of 207 university scholarships since its establishment in 1999 by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
