HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the 22nd intake of the CPISP

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the 22nd intake of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP).

His Royal Highness noted that Bahrain will continue to deliver on development initiatives that investment in youth and encourage their contributions towards the Kingdom's development path, under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Royal Highness congratulated the recipients of the scholarship, before reminding them to take full advantage of the opportunity. His Royal Highness concluded by expressing his appreciation for all who continue to support the CPISP in empowering adolescents in their transitions from learning to creating an impact.

The Advisor for Political and Economic Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince, Board Member and Head of the Financial and Administrative Committee of the CPISP, HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, and members of the Board of Directors were in attendance.

The recipients of 2021 CPISP scholarships are as follows:

  • Layal Zuhair Ismail Kazeroni - St. Christopher's School
  • Lian Ryan Kazeroni - St. Christopher's School
  • Ziad Khaled Ahmed Al-Sakhi - Bayan Bahrain School
  • Talal Hussein Abdullah Al-Khawaja - St. Christopher's School
  • Hanan Hassan Ali Al-Saffar - Jidhafs Secondary School for Girls
  • Khatoon Sabah Hamid Al-Sabah - Jidhafs Secondary School for Girls
  • Noor Jaafar Muhammad Tarish - Saar Secondary School for Girls
  • Jawad Ali Jaafar Al-Gharbi - Al-Naeem Secondary School for Boys
  • Saleh Dhaif Hussein Abdullah - Hamad Town Secondary School for Boys
  • Mohammed Murad Mohammed Fadl - Al-Naeem Secondary School for Boys

Recipients were selected from among 358 Bahraini applicants following a comprehensive process that took into account their Grade Point Average, IELTS score, SAT score, leadership training, and a critical thinking course, which was organised by the CPISP as part of the candidacy training.

The CPISP offers scholarship recipients the opportunity to choose their own fields of study at any university they gain acceptance to. The program has awarded a total of 207 university scholarships since its establishment in 1999 by HRH the Crown Prince.
