The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) received the Best Management of Scholarship Students Abroad award at the 2019 BMI Global Scholarship Summit’s award ceremony in London, United Kingdom. The Director of the CPISP, Dr. Cynthia Gessling, accepted the award.
In line with the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, the CPISP aims to prepare young talented Bahrainis by equipping them with the skills required to increase their contribution to the Kingdom’s comprehensive development.
Over the past 20 years, the program has awarded a total of 197 scholarships since its establishment in 1999 by HRH the Crown Prince.
The 2019 winners were announced during the gala dinner, hosted at Henry VIII’s Hatfield Hall, as follows:
1. Lifetime Achievement Award – Mr. Jeronimo Castro Jaramillo, Executive Director of COLFUTURO
2. Best Scholarship Platform for Students – The Dubai Police
3. Best Scholarship Program Benefiting Underprivileged Students – Institute of International Education (IIE)
4. Best Management of Scholarship Students Abroad – The Crowne Price’s International Scholarship Program from Bahrain
BMI’s CEO Samir Zaveri said: 'The awards acknowledged great contributions to the international education industry. Making our final selections was certainly a challenge, and we extend a hearty congratulations to the winners and to all those who entered'.
CPISP’s Director of the Finance and Admin Affairs, Ms. Shatha Ahmed Ali, also attended the ceremony.
