Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has provided a BHD 100,000 cheque in support of HRH the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme. This is part of their contribution of BHD 500,000, the amount the company provides as a Gold category sponsor.
Minister of Oil and Chairman of Bapco, His Excellency Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, delivered the cheque to His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, Advisor for Political and Economic Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince, member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Finance and Administrative Committee of HRH the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Programme.
During the meeting, His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa praised the efforts of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to support Bahraini youth development and education.
The Minister affirmed the company’s continued support for the programme, explaining that supporting the Kingdom’s youth in their steadfast pursuit of knowledge was a key priority for Bapco.
His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa praised the pioneering role played by Bapco in supporting the programme. His Excellency stressed that, in providing such generous assistance to the young people of Bahrain on their path to the world’s most distinguished academic institutions, the company serves as a model to the Kingdom’s private sector.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Ebrahim Taleb, Executive Vice President of Bapco, Mr. Nawaf Al Ghanim, Corporate Communications Manager, Dr. Cynthia Gessling, Programme Director of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme, Ms. Shatha Ahmed Ali, Head of Administrative, Financial and Students Affairs.
