The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) concluded its training for students taking part in the Group 17 Candidacy Program, which comes as part of the selection process for the Program’s ten annual scholarships.
CPISP Director Dr. Cynthia Gessling presented certificates of achievement to the Candidacy Program participants during the training’s closing session, which came at the end of a specially organized day dedicated to developing teambuilding skills that took place at Novotel Hotel.
Dr. Gessling praised the hard work, dedication, and performance demonstrated by the students during the candidacy training that began last summer in cooperation with the Bahrain Institute of Business and Finance (BIBF). The training included an Academic Writing Course, a Critical Thinking Course, leadership and communication development training that includes a Level 3 Certificate in Team Leading certified by the UK-based Chartered Management Institute, as well as Personality and Career Path Assessments.
The CPISP also organized guest lectures and panel discussions with qualified professionals on academic, personal development, and career-related topics, as well IELTS and SAT preparation courses for its student candidates.
Dr. Gessling affirmed the final ten scholarship recipients will be selected based on their Grade Point Average, their IELTS and SAT test results, and scores of the leadership training and Critical Thinking course. They will include three young women and three young men from Ministry of Education schools and two young men and two young women from private schools.
Dr. Gessling also extended her thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Information and BIBF for their continued cooperation with the Program, and wished the students success.
