Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) officials held an orientation meeting for the new group of scholarship recipients and their parents/guardians at the Court of the Crown Prince, to brief them on the Program’s internal policies and procedures, and the academic requirements and expectations of CPISP scholars during their university studies abroad.
CPISP Head of Finance and Student Affairs Ms. Shatha Ahmed Ali affirmed HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s vision of developing the talents and capabilities of Bahrain’s youth and establishing educational and training programs. The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program aims to provide its scholars with the opportunity to study at top international universities and experience various international cultural backgrounds. She added that the Program’s scholars are given the freedom to choose their desired field of study from recognized international universities they gain acceptance to, and provides them support in completing their university degrees, starting with Bachelor’s and continuing with Masters and Doctorate degrees.
She congratulated the 2016 recipients of the Program’s ten annual scholarships, who include public and private school students, and wished them success on their studies abroad.
The 2016 group of scholars includes Husain Ali Altaraif, Sara Husain Nasaif, Sayed Hashem Hadi Alaali, Noor Ayoob Alsairafi, Husain Abdulameer Ali, and Sawsan Sayed Mohamed Alshaiba who will be going to preparatory schools in the US to attain American High School Diplomas before applying for university. The scholars also include Abdullah Marwan Zaini going to University of Pennsylvania, USA; Yasmeen Hassan Jassim going to Stanford University, USA; Saif Najeeb Jamsheer going to the University of Bath, UK; and Faten Omran Hasan going to University of Virginia, USA.
