Adviser for Political and Economic Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince, and Board Member and Head of the Financial and Administrative Committee of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP), Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, today received at his office the CEO of the National Bank of Bahrain, Mr Abdulrazak Al Qassim.
During the meeting, Mr Al Qassim presented a cheque for BD 200,000, marking the third instalment of the NBB’s BD 1 million pledge to CPISP over five years as a platinum-level sponsor.
Shaikh Mohammed thanked NBB for its generous contribution, and for supporting CPISP in its mission to develop the capabilities of Bahraini students, provide them with opportunities to attain degrees at top international universities, and prepare them for the demands of their future careers.
In turn, Mr Al Qassim underscored the NBB’s commitment to supporting CPISP, praising the programme’s achievements and the efforts of HRH the Crown Prince in supporting Bahraini youth through educational and training programmes. Mr Al Qassim also affirmed the importance of the private sector’s role in empowering youth as part of Bahrain’s long-term development programme.
Also in attendance at the meeting was the newly appointed NBB Chief Executive Officer, Mr Jean Christoph Durand, as well as the Board Secretary, Mr Naser Mohammed Naser, CPISP Director Dr Cynthia Gessling, and Head of Administrative, Financial, and Student Affairs, Ms Shatha Ahmed Ali.
