The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) announced the selection of the student candidates for its 2015 scholarships, and will begin their training, in cooperation with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), starting next week and throughout the summer.
CPISP Director Dr. Cynthia Gessling affirmed that the candidates, who met the Program’s application criteria and submitted their applications before the deadline of 27 March 2014, were selected based on their GPAs and results of qualifying tests administered by the CPISP in cooperation with BIBF. The qualifying tests included an English proficiency test in addition to critical reasoning assessment for verbal, numerical, and diagrammatical reasoning.
The candidates include students from private and governmental schools, in addition to qualifying students studying outside of Bahrain said Dr. Gessling. She also affirmed that their training, which is part of the Program’s final selection criteria, will include a Critical Thinking course, leadership training, and preparation courses for the IELTS and SAT exams.
To qualify for the Crown Prince’s 2015 scholarships, applicants must have Bahraini citizenship, a GPA of 97% or higher, be enrolled in the 11th grade and set to graduate from secondary school in 2015. Application for 2015 scholarships is now closed.
