The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) began its training for student candidates vying for next year’s 2014 scholarships, which comes as part of the selection process for selecting the Program’s final ten scholarship recipients.
The Program held an introductory session, in cooperation with Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), at BIBF headquarters to brief the students on the details and requirements of the upcoming training courses.
CPISP Director Dr. Cynthia Gessling welcomed the students and congratulated them on making it to the training phase of the selection process. Dr. Gessling pointed to the importance of attending the courses, which include a Critical Thinking Course, Personality and Career Path Assessment, and leadership and communication development training that will include a Level 3 Certificate in Team Leading certified by the UK-based Chartered Management Institute; which will be held in cooperation with BIBF over the summer. She added that after the training at BIBF, the Program will provide students with preparation courses for the IELTS and SAT exams.
Dr. Gessling thanked BIBF for its support and continued cooperation with the Program, praising the quality of training offered by the Institute, and wished the students a successful and productive experience.
From her side, BIBF Director Ms. Solveig Nicklos expressed BIBF’s keenness to work in cooperation with the CPISP and contribute to developing the abilities of outstanding Bahraini students. She also praised the vision of HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa aimed at developing Bahraini youth and for supporting training and educational initiatives. She also affirmed BIBF’s dedication to providing the candidates with a positive and beneficial experience.
BIBF Consultant Trainer Ms. Amal Al-Awadhi, Critical Thinking Course Leader Mrs. Naeema Al-Aali, and Leadership Course Leader Mr. Philip Mukhwana also addressed the students about the training requirements and benefits, and wished them success.
