The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) concluded its training for student candidates vying for next year’s 2014 scholarships, which comes as part of the process for selecting the Program’s final ten scholarship recipients.
The CPISP held its last training event, in cooperation with Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), at the Royal Golf Club, where an outdoor teambuilding day was dedicated to developing teamwork skills through various activities.
CPISP Director Dr. Cynthia Gessling praised the performance of the student candidates and congratulated them for completing the training courses which make up the CPISP Candidacy Program that began during the summer, and included a critical thinking course, leadership and communication training (which includes a Level 3 Certificate in Team Leading certified by the UK-based Chartered Management Institute), and preparation courses for the IELTS and SAT exams. She also said that students received personality assessment to help determine suitable career paths and attended various lectures and panel discussions on academic, career, and personal development.
Dr. Gessling thanked BIBF and all other organizations and individuals who worked in cooperation with the Program for contributing to the success of the candidacy training, and wished all the students a bright future. She added that the final scholarship recipients will be selected based on their Grade Point Average, results of their IELTS and SAT exams, and results of the critical thinking course and leadership training.
